HEAR THE GOOD NEWS OF THE CROSS AND REJOICE: Revealing the Models and Marvels of Christ’s Victory on the Cross in Human Endeavors and Breakthroughs

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (Philppians 4:4). “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:18)

Every year on September 14, millions of Christians worldwide celebrate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. But if we are being completely honest, the cross is a strange thing to celebrate. So why do we embrace and exalt the Cross? Truly, there is power hidden in the cross that many do not know. Read this post to the end – “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32).

Historically, the cross wasn’t a religious ornament or a piece of jewelry. It was invented by ancient civilizations and perfected by the Roman Empire as the ultimate instrument of terror, public execution, and absolute shame. It was designed to completely break the human body and spirit.

Yet, through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, this tool of execution underwent a radical, cosmic redemption. Today, the Cross stands as the universal symbol of the Christian faith. It is the ultimate canvas of divine triumph – the exact place where human suffering is systematically rewritten into heavenly glory.

If you are facing an impossible roadblock in your spiritual life, career, or business right now, this message is for you. The Cross is not a symbol of shame or defeat; it is the exact architectural blueprint of Christ’s victory for your next breakthrough.

Look closely at the shape of the Cross. It isn’t just two wooden beams thrown together; it reveals a profound spiritual framework for human existence:

  • The Vertical Arm (Your Spiritual Life): This beam points directly upward. It bridges the gap between heaven and earth, symbolizing your alignment, communication, and direct relationship with God the Father.
  • The Horizontal Arm (Your Material Life): This beam stretches outward to the left and right. It represents your relationship with the world, your neighbors, your daily career, your projects, and your earthly responsibilities.

Where these two axes intersect is the heart of Christ. It tells us that you cannot have a highly functional horizontal life (success in business, money, relationships) without a firmly anchored vertical life (devotion to God). True impact happens at the intersection.

CELEBRATING THE TRIUMPHANT CROSS

In Matthew 16:24, Jesus drops a non-negotiable strategy for anyone who wants to experience His supernatural reality:

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.’”

Taking up your cross is not a passive acceptance of misery or a call to live a defeated life. It is an active, daily choice anchored in three powerful actions:

  1. Self-Denial: Consciously letting go of selfish desires, destructive ego, and the need for total personal control.
  • Surrender: Actively yielding your personal blueprints, timelines, and ambitions to align fully with God’s sovereign will.
  • Commitment: Developing a steadfast, unshakeable grit to face temporary hardships or sacrifices for the sake of the Gospel.

When you take up the cross, you tap into the three master keys of salvation (John 3:14-17, Colossians 1:20): Substitution (Jesus taking off the punishment you deserved), Forgiveness (His blood unlocking complete pardon and eternal life), and Reconciliation (the permanent restoration of your relationship with God).

To reject the cross is to reject the very mechanism of your freedom. As Matthew 10:38 boldly warns: “Those who do not take up their cross and follow in my steps are not fit to be my disciples.”

If the Cross is so powerful, why do so many avoid it? Usually, it boils down to five distinct internal traps:

  • Ignorance: Many simply do not realize that the true power of the Cross is anchored on four unshakeable pillars: Love, Sacrifice, Endurance, and Victory.
  • Fear of Pain: A lack of spiritual fortitude. Everybody wants the crown, but very few people want to go through the crucifying process required to wear it.
  • Pride: The stubborn, toxic illusion that we can achieve ultimate success strictly through our own human hustle without needing a Savior.
  • Impatience: A lack of perseverance. Many people abandon their businesses, ministries, or projects right on the Saturday of waiting, completely missing their Sunday morning resurrection.
  • Demonic Manipulation: The enemy of God actively tries to steer souls away from the message of the Cross because he knows that isolating someone from the Crucified Christ strips them of their eternal authority.

The Cross is not just a theological concept for Sundays; it is a highly practical operational model for your everyday career, family, and projects. When you apply its four pillars – Love, Sacrifice, Endurance, and Victory – to your current challenges, you unlock twelve supernatural marvels:

By the stripes of Christ, your spiritual and physical brokenness is permanently mended.

“Christ himself carried our sins in his body to the cross… It is by his wounds that you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

  • The Key Takeaway: No matter how broken your health, your family, or your personal life feels right now, the Cross is the definitive place where affliction terminates and divine healing begins. A total surrender to God, perseverance and hope in times of affliction, while contemplating the Crucifixion of Christ is a very powerful healing balm.

The Cross is the ultimate cosmic courtroom where your liberation papers were signed. Christ stripped the enemy of his weapons and made a public spectacle of the powers of darkness.

“He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.” (Colossians 2:15)

  • The Key Takeaway: When you face hidden opposition, toxic workplace sabotage, or generational patterns of stagnation, remember: the Cross has already legally disarmed your oppressors. Each time we recall the Cross and the Blood of Jesus in prayer we remind Satan of his eternal defeat. That is why demons detest the symbol of the Cross.

The Cross completely changes your final destination, rescuing you from the anxiety of temporary existence (John 3:14-17).

  • The Key Takeaway: Knowing that your eternity is absolutely secure gives you the ultimate boldness to take righteous risks in your daily life, career, and leadership – on order not to compromise eternal life for short term gains. Those who do not want to persevere often commit suicide and die before their time. Others join satanic cults to sacrifice their relatives or parts of their own bodies to get things easily. All these leads to perdition and eternal suffering.

The world looks at the sacrificial path of the Cross and calls it foolishness. But to those who understand it, it is the absolute display of elite strategy and divine intelligence.

“But to those whom God has called… Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:22-24)

  • The Key Takeaway: When your business or creative project hits a massive brick wall, the wisdom of the Cross provides out-of-the-box insights that outsmart market trends and competitors.

Just as Moses lifted his staff – a prophetic shadow of the Cross – to part the Red Sea, the power of the Cross cuts through overwhelming obstacles.

“Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea… and the turn of the sea became dry land.” (Exodus 14:21-22)

  • The Key Takeaway: The logic and tactic of the Cross is your divine breakthrough tool to navigate through impossible financial crunches, bureaucratic roadblocks, and professional dead-ends until you reach total fulfillment.

The Cross proves a powerful spiritual law: the path up is down (i.e. death comes before resurrection). It is the exact mechanism that transitions you from the humiliation of the tomb to the authority of the throne.

“And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two… The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open…” (Matthew 27:50-53)

  • The Key Takeaway: If your current venture is experiencing a season of public failure, bankruptcy, or embarrassment, hold on. Focus, persevere and commit your work to God (Proverbs 16:3), If your venture anchors on love – solving human problems – the Cross guarantees that your story will transition from disgrace to grace.

The intensity of a cross acts as a divine filter, exposing the true intentions of those around you. This is perfectly modeled by the two thieves crucified alongside Jesus (Luke 23:32-33, 39-40). One responded with mocking pride, while the other responded with humble alignment.

  • The Key Takeaway: Crises and seasons of heavy pressure in your career or personal life are simply filters. The “crosses” you carry will quickly expose who your true, destiny-aligned friends or partners are, and who was merely riding your coattails for their convenience.

It is under the extreme pressure of the Cross that your true identity as a child of God shines brightest, putting your critics to absolute shame.

“When the centurion and those with him… saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, ‘Truly this was the Son of God!’” (Matthew 27:54)

  • The Key Takeaway: When you maintain your integrity, faith, and excellence through severe professional trials, your critics will eventually be forced to recognize the hand of God upon your life – when success breaks through.

The moment Christ yielded His spirit on the Cross; the natural world could no longer contain the supernatural. The earth quaked, rocks split, and long-dead dreams were resurrected (Matthew 27:50-53).

  • The Key Takeaway: When you fully surrender your most difficult situations to God, you provoke a seismic shift that forces dead projects, stagnant finances, and stalled dreams to snap back to life.

The Cross is the place of ultimate completion. It allowed Jesus to look back at His earthly mission and declare that every single requirement had been met.

“When he had received the drink, Jesus said, ‘It is finished.’ With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” (John 19:30)

  • The Key Takeaway: By committing to the endurance of the Cross, you receive the grace to finish what you start. You will not leave your life’s work, businesses, or assignments half-done; you will bring them to glorious completion.

The Cross is heaven’s ultimate ledger-clearing system. It wiped out our spiritual bankruptcy and cancelled the legal claims against us.

“He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.” (Colossians 2:14)

  • The Key Takeaway: The Cross breaks the spirit of lack and continuous debt. It speaks legal freedom over your spiritual, moral, emotional, and financial obligations. For instance, it is with the spirit of sacrifice and endurance that wise people save money to pay or avoid incurring debts – and they eventually get rich and become financially free.

The Cross is the ultimate bridge builder. It destroys long-standing divisions, hatred, corporate politics, racial biases, and domestic hostilities, fusing divided factions into one harmonious body.

“Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.” (Ephesians 2:16)

  • The Key Takeaway: Whether you are dealing with broken family dynamics, toxic workplace politics, or divided communities, introducing the sacrificial love of the Cross kills the roots of malice and establishes lasting peace and harmony.

As the Church celebrates the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, take a look at the challenges in front of you. Don’t run away from your cross. Don’t allow fear, pride, or impatience cause you to deny it.

Lean into the love, sacrifice, and endurance it requires, because right behind your cross lies your ultimate victory. It is finished, and your breakthrough is already paid for.
